When my mom bought Kieran a t-ball set and she, Svea, and him were playing around with it....Svea took off running and he said, "No, I'm not running or doing that" in a real gruff non-complacent kind of way.
When Svea is doing something that he doesn't like, "Svea stop doing that"! It doesn't look funny when I type it, but his little voice gets really low, he squints, his eyes, and puts his chin down and it's so stinking cute!
He's OBSESSED with tv, iPads, or anything digital right now. The Octonauts is his favorite show.
He's been walking around sticking his hand down the back of his pant. Not into his diaper thank goodness though!
Some days he shares just fine and other days he has a complete meltdown when someone is touching his cars.
He is a magnet for DIRT. I had the water table out the other day and the kids were having a blast. (I had his hearing aides in the house/this whole summer and water thing is going to be tricky) He got himself all wet and had a blast with Svea, but then proceeded to find every and any dirt he could find and smothered himself with it. When they were done playing he had on a shirt and shorts and he was SO cold and shivering. I stripped him down to his diaper and snuggled him in a towel. He was so cute as he ran to the house in just his diaper.
When he sees people he doesn't know and wants to say hello he roars at them like a dinosaur.
He's very ticklish on his knees and anytime you tickle him he says, "tickle tickle tickle"! Kieran is especially ticklish in the crook of his neck.
Kieran still LOVES to read. At bedtime you will tell him it is the last book and you make him repeat that, but he will ALWAYS "forget" or pretend not to know and go and grab another book.
At night when he is laying in his bed he always wants me to lay my head down by him. "Lay down Mommy" as he then grabs my head and forcefully pushes it down onto the bed.
He is fearless at the park and climbs up ladders and comes down steep slides. If he does need help he can be heard from across the park, "Mommy, I neeeeeed you"!
He has a love/hate relationship with Ryder from two doors down and that goes to our daycare. One minute he is biting or they are biting each other and the next they are giving big hugs and saying sweet little goodbyes to each other.
I just love this little boy so much. I could just smother him with kisses one minute and run away and lock myself in my bathroom the next when he is using his high pitched whine.
He calls his sister Yey-Ya, me Mommy, his dad Daddy and knows Jesus loves him most of all. We love you sweet Kieran!
