Movies

This one was cute.  The references to bees is a little much, but clever.  It made us laugh...that's about all it takes for me to say...it was good:)  I think it's so cute that Dan is always wanting to rent the dreamworks/pixar movies all of the time.  We own more kids movies than people with small children.
I read this book a few months back and I must say the book is better.  The movie is very slow at times.  I remember it taking only a few nights to read the book.  I also wouldn't recommend this one if you haven't read the book.  Then it would be REALLY slow.  It was also VERY long.

I've got an animal at each window in our upstairs living area right now.  They are all mesmerized  by this rain.  It's like they haven't seen it or heard it for a whole year.....oh yeah, they really haven't!  Welcome to the the 2nd Dust bowl.  Thank goodness this time around we have irrigation:)  Maybe we can call it the Dirty 2000's with sprinklers?

Random Thoughts from the Dornfeld's

-We are tired; we slept for 3 hours this afternoon and both feel like we could sleep more....maybe it has something to do with stress and all of the nice comments we've intercepted in the last couple of weeks. 

-This is REALLY weird, but yesterday while discussing our current issues all of the sudden smoke came out of my nose and mouth....NO, I am not a fire breathing dragon, although Dan might disagree with that at times these days, but it was from the cinnamon I take each morning.  At least it gave us something to laugh about:)  

-I had fun with you yesterday Mom:)  Can't wait till you are here again:)

-I'm done with school; one more teacher work day  on Tuesday, and then a little free time for me.

-Two more weeks until our honeymoon...I'm praying we make it emotionally until then.  Then we are relaxing in the sun, relaxing, in the sun, and some more relaxing in the sun.  After that we are very excited to come and hold and play with the nieces and nephew:)   

-Hope everyone has a good week......Praying for everyone. 

ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.......

I've always wondered what goes on up inside your brain while your subconscious mind sleeps. How do little boys (Stuart and Dan, sorry guys) end up in their neighbor's homes in their underwear?  Why was my mom looking for her keys in the fridge in the middle of the night.   What is going  on when  I take my temperature at 5:00 in the morning  and not remember doing it.

 

My favorite sleeping stories are of my mom though in high school.  When I would get home at night she'd make me wake her up so she'd know I was home.  I did one night and she asked me a ton of questions about my "high school night" for at least 10 minutes.  This was a thorough conversation.  About 4 hours later at 4 in the morning she tore in my room, flipped on the lights, sighed heavily, and said..."why didn't you wake me up"!   Of course I thought she was nuts, but after a few more encounters like this I got used to leading mom back up to bed when I found her digging around somewhere.  

If we are ever able to have kids we've already talked about the fact that we may need to invest in some of those locks that sit at the way top of doors that kids can't reach:)

Seriously after every post I write Dan goes through it to see how many spelling errors I have.  It's really starting to get to me that I can't spell.  Here are some words that I just forever cannot learn.............

2 more movies!

Nagh...this one was ok. I played computer math games while I watched it if that tells you anything. It was cute....definitely a chick flick. Very good with lots of twists that you don't see coming. Highly recommend this one if you haven't already seen it:) Wendy, this is the one that your husband is in!

Random Thoughts from the Dornfeld's

-Dan has a new fan! We couldn't help but share this and we can't wait to see all of the nieces and nephew in June!

-A year and a half of not cleaning the basement equals an hour and a half of cleaning the basement. It seems like a lot of work for hardly ever using it!

-I'm starting to regret my comment to Dan while we were dating, "Just let it go, that's not good for you". Some nights I swear he and the dog are in some type of competition.

-6 more days of school left! At this point my teaching moments have been replaced with preventing pre-teen flirting from going too far, or motivating fervently without any results.

-I broke the dryer....wait....I didn't break the dryer...It was a fluke. I PROMISE, though, to clean the lint from the thingy everytime from now on!

-We are officially done with Thank-you cards! Yes! It took a lot longer than we had hoped it would.

-Approximately 3 weeks until our honeymoon. My passport is still not here yet......c'mon ticket to a one week of freedom!!!

Mom's Day!

2 new movies!

I'm in love with a monkey named George.  I'm in love with my husband too, but George is sooooo cute, well Dan too, but you'll just have to see this little guy!  Have Ashlyn and Hannah seen this one yet?  The soundtrack is excellent (Jack Johnson), and Quinn is a huge fan of both.

The best comic book movie that Dan has ever seen as well as  the best man in a suit movie. Narrowly beating out such masterpieces such as Tronn and Inspector Gadget. I was very thankful that Mike went with him to this one!

Family wedding/Little Miss Sunshine

Dad and I went to a family wedding. Family weddings are always fun and interesting in their own way. Just so you know Dad, this took me approx. two minutes to post:) Sooooooooo if I can do that you should use email and get a cell phone!

This is just too funny not to post! Dan had it on when I got home:) 

Random Thoughts from the Dornfeld's

Juno=Good flick with lots of laugh out loud moments.

-The dog has taken up Meeko's bad habits of chewing and tearing up paper. He also rubs himself up on the beds and couch like he's a cat. He might even be starting to learn how to meow, weird.

-I have 15 more days of school left!!!!!

-5 more weeks until our honeymoon!

-We finally updated our cell phone plans and both got new phones. The Alltell guy said that I could bring my old one to a museum. Yes, it was so old that I couldn't even take pictures on it.

-We tried going for a bike ride one night, but it's hard when your road bike and your mountain bike are chained up together and you can't remember the code. Woops! I had to rollerblade and Dan obtained a bolt cutter from my uncle and now we will try again this morning!

-Dan eats ice-cream like he's pregnant! That's just what he said.
