Surprisingly, we did! Ham is an understatement for our first born.  She likes to put on a show, but actually sat in my lap for one minute, which was "just" enough time to get a cute smile out of her! Notice our second born....calm, cool, and collected.  Yes, I realize he is a baby, but positive thinking reaps positive results.

Polyvore- A Mommy Post!

 

I found something fun!  If you use pinterest and check out anyone's fashion board you might notice that everyone has pins of cute outfits all put together.  It's really helped me expand my fashion sense (you know farther than just jeans and a target t-shirt). I've pinned "outfits" before that I actually have pieces in my closet and sometimes I pin outfits that I think look great and would love.  I always wondered where people were getting these pictures of outfits all put together.  Well, I found one of them and it's www.polyvore.com  You can sign up (I know...just one more thing to have a password for-ha!) and create your own outfits.  Above I created a look for which I have none of these things in my closet, but just for fun and inspiration.  Below I created a look in which I have all of the pieces in my closet, but didn't think to put them all together before. I just might become addicted during my free time, which would be all of about an hour and a half in the evenings about one night a week!  It's a fun outlet though! Zumba!

Right before Dan and I moved from Bismarck the YMCA was going through their what seemed like their 13th addition since I was a kid. First I must say almost fell over when I saw the new workout area and called Dan and said we NEED to go back. J/k...but it was amazing. Jill and I went to Zumba which is now offered at the new and improved Y! It was seriously the most fun exercise class I have ever gone to. If you've never heard of it it's a combination of latin and hip hop music. One of the nights we went out we were complaining that Bismarck doesn't have that many places to go out and dance. Zumba...is a cure for this! The closest class we have to wee little Paynesville, is in Willmar. So, I'm sure I'll be introducing this to my mom one weekend when she comes! Love, love, love this!

Virtual Shopping

I'm not the world's best shopper. I am sometimes in the mood, but it usually wears off pretty quick and I can get quite impatient. I'm also not the best at choosing items. I can't even pick out the correct sizes. Dan comes in handy quite often to kindly let me know that those pants are still too big or to pick out great clothes for me. I discovered this site...it's GREAT! You enter your height, weight, hair color, etc. Then you can go shopping at home. I don't have to get impatient and I get to be daring at trying things on without taking the time to actually untie my shoes for the 10th time! I love it. I'm trying to get Dan do do one too because I think it would be funny. So far there is some resistance!

Flashback!

This might start a chain reaction here because I found this site from Brian, but it's just too much fun not to do! As you can see Dan and I have transported ourselves back to the late 70's. We're thinking about staying there for awhile....the economy is a little better than now.....I said a little!
