Jillian Harris is a Trainwreck!

Ok, so most people who read our blog probably don't watch "The Bachelorette", but as you probably already know this is my ONE tv guilty pleasure of watching a complete incorrect and horrible representation (ok maybe 3rd,so I'll be honest) about what love is and blah, blah, blah....all of that. But, I'm not single and hopelessly wishing something like this could happen to me, nor was I when I used to watch it single....so, in my mind that makes it ok:) Ha!

Anyway, this girl is super cool, but is the absolute poster child for "Hi, my name is (insert name here), and the more you treat me like crap the more I'll stare dreamily into your eyes and want to marry you". I know this kind of thing happens all of the time, and I'll admit maybe to myself a few times, but GEEZ....not on national tv. She's making a horrible impression for women everywhere.....don't make us out to be so STUPID. I know the show is probably already over, but I'm going to say a little prayer that she eventually dumps this guy who is trying to promote his music career/has a girlfriend possibly. I don't care how much they cut and paste his comments and take them out of context he's got CREEP written all over him. My internal "character meter" is screaming RUN!

Michael Jackson Tribute + Farrah

By now the whole world knows about Michael Jackson's death. The "King of Pop" was part of quite a few generations so his passing has been quite dramatic for many, many people. DAn and I included remember many "favorite" songs and have a hard time coming up with one favorite. We finally narrowed it down with Dan's being "Billy Jean" and mine (yes, I know I should have been a teenager in the 70;s) "Don't Stop til you Get Enough". Here's a video promoting him from back in 04, but includes many of his hit songs. May he rest in peace......



Who can forget Farrah as well......although I did not grow up with Farrah Fawcett I do remember her as idolized at my Grandparent's house. My uncle Jeff left behind his insulated Farrah drinking glasses in Mayville when he left home. The crazy thing is that he's now in his mid-40's and they are STILL THERE in Marlan and Barbara's kitchen cupboards. You open them and you either have coffee cups, regular drinking glasses, pink plastic juice glasses, or Farrah to chose from. So as to not leave her out in anyway and in honor of her as well here is the actual picture that is on our drinking glasses.

Wowzers!

Apparently this guys is going to jail for murder.....I beg to differ. I'm thinking it might be his hair. What do you think?

The Bachelor Part 2

This pretty much sums up our looks tonight after what happened on the final Bachelor show. Ok fine, he had to follow his heart and he made the wrong decision at first, but geez.....did he really have to break up with the girl on national television? We all know that one girl is going to get her heart broken at the end of every season, but everyone knows that and they (the girls) know that could happen to them. This time she (Melissa) never saw it coming. That was very lame to do what he (Jason) did on tv. Poor guy used to be America's sweetheart.....now they are all going to hate him. I'm going to hold out for the live show in a couple of months when she (Molly) dumps Jason for his brother!

p.s. Is this not the cutest monkey you have ever seen? I still have not fulfilled my life long goal to hold a monkey/chimp of some kind AND get a picture of it! Maybe my Dad can find us one in Mexico?

The Bachelor

Since the very first episode I felt like Melissa will be the one that "The Bachelor" (Jason) will pick. She just seems his type and more importantly has been far from all of the back stabbing and nasty behavior that has gone on between the rest of the women. Don't think for a moment that this post is just for me......the last episode I was unavailable to watch. I called Dan, talked to him for a few short moments before he preceded to tell me....oh, oh...gotta go the commercial is over!

He is down to 4 girls.....
Molly-I get an eerie feeling about her. Don't trust her although I think she'll be in the final two
Jillian-very down to earth and fun, but don't see the connection
Naomi-very sweet, but it's obvious she doesn't quite seem to be 100% sure she's ready

So there you have it....That's my and I think if I remember right (our) prediction.
