We had heard that this one was ok and that all of the funny parts were on the previews. We don't agree. We laughed and replayed scenes and laughed even harder so this one gets our thumbs up!

The Dark Knight

Hands down an excellent movie.  Ledger was awesome as the joker and as far as Dan is concerned he agrees with the rumors that he should get an Oscar.  Wish Christian Bale would growl less as Batman.  The only complaint is the beginning was a little long, but other than that superb!

Movies.....again:)

Definitely, Maybe-Recommended by Kathy and Kristin and this one was cute.  I cried when he said the best part of marrying so and so was the little girl.  I can say that because it's on the preview. It keeps you guessing, that's for sure. Have we ever had a movie on here that we didn't like yet.  Hmm...maybe we are just the worst movie critics and the whole Hollywood film industry just works on us.  

Atonement-it was ok, there, one that we didn't rave about.
Dan thinks it could have been really good if he was the director.  Correct, he says!

Wall-E=Wow!

Oh wow, did we LOVE this one!  Again, Dan always knows the exact date that the "kids' movies come out!  I had seen the previews and wasn't all that impressed, but this is a must see.  This robot just does it for me like Short Circuit did for me in the 80's!  Dan says Wall-E, the actual robot reminds him of a combination between R2D2 and Short Circuit.  There isn't much talking in the beginning, hence the robot that doesn't talk much, but you would not believe the emotion that they are to convey with non-verbal stuff.  We LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this one and I'm sure it'll become one we own....good message too!

I listented to Stuart and Dan laugh their heads off at this movie overpowering Hannah's and Ashlyn's cute little laughs. Very cute that two grown men enjoy kids movies just as much as kids:)

Movies

This one was cute.  The references to bees is a little much, but clever.  It made us laugh...that's about all it takes for me to say...it was good:)  I think it's so cute that Dan is always wanting to rent the dreamworks/pixar movies all of the time.  We own more kids movies than people with small children.
I read this book a few months back and I must say the book is better.  The movie is very slow at times.  I remember it taking only a few nights to read the book.  I also wouldn't recommend this one if you haven't read the book.  Then it would be REALLY slow.  It was also VERY long.

I've got an animal at each window in our upstairs living area right now.  They are all mesmerized  by this rain.  It's like they haven't seen it or heard it for a whole year.....oh yeah, they really haven't!  Welcome to the the 2nd Dust bowl.  Thank goodness this time around we have irrigation:)  Maybe we can call it the Dirty 2000's with sprinklers?

Nagh...this one was ok. I played computer math games while I watched it if that tells you anything. It was cute....definitely a chick flick. Very good with lots of twists that you don't see coming. Highly recommend this one if you haven't already seen it:) Wendy, this is the one that your husband is in!

2 new movies!

I'm in love with a monkey named George.  I'm in love with my husband too, but George is sooooo cute, well Dan too, but you'll just have to see this little guy!  Have Ashlyn and Hannah seen this one yet?  The soundtrack is excellent (Jack Johnson), and Quinn is a huge fan of both.

The best comic book movie that Dan has ever seen as well as  the best man in a suit movie. Narrowly beating out such masterpieces such as Tronn and Inspector Gadget. I was very thankful that Mike went with him to this one!

Dan in Real Life

No, this isn't about our Dan, but about the movie.  Thanks to Dean and Kathy, my mom, Dan, and me enjoyed this the other night when my mom came to town for an early Easter celebration.

At first we felt bad for Dan, but then he made us laugh, and in the end overall it was a good movie. I'm not a very good movie critic.  I usually just think they are either good or bad.  So, there you go....this one was good.

I still think about the first movie I watched with Dan's parents though....Little Miss Sunshine.  That one still brings a smile to my face every time I think of the part where she's competing in the pageant and she dedicates her moves to her Grandpa who's in the trunk!
