Easter Weekend 2015

I know Easter happened over two weeks ago!  I promise I'll be better at blogging this summer!  I want to document as much as I can especially when the kids are so little and you forget these sweet moments so fast. I'll have so much more time and energy to do this.

We had a fabulous Easter Weekend!  Just being part of our new church was great.  The only downside is Dan was busier and we didn't see him hardly at all, which means we didn't get a family picture like we normally do, but we'll have to take one on another day:)
On Saturday morning the kids, my mom, and myself drove up to Mayville to visit my grandparents.  Svea and Kieran were showing them how the phones work.  They were pretty impressed, but it was a fresh reminder for me that I don't want them to know how to work these that well:)  Kieran is so sneaky these days at finding one of our phones and crawling off into a corner to secretly watch a cartoon.
My Grandpa loves learning about anything new so he was intrigued at what they could do.  He has a cell phone, but just not a smart phone.
We dyed and decorated some more Easter egss.  Svea wanted me to take a picture of Strawberry Shortcake too!  I love how she still goes back and forth between all of her characters that she loves...Jake and the Neverland Pirate, Strawberry Shortcake, Elsa, etc.
On Saturday afternoon we headed outside for their Easter egg hunt!  Don't worry....I took away his paci! That boy is going to be 5 and still have that thing if we don't do something soon.
Kieran was very much into hunting for eggs.  He was super excited and happy about it and very focused too.
We asked Svea to pretend not to see Kieran's eggs if she came across them and she did so SO good.  His were blue and green and hers were purple and pink.  Love her smile here!
Kieran had to open his eggs right away and eat his jelly beans. When he concentrates really hard he sticks his little tongue out.  I remember Svea at this age would lick her lips sort of when she was deep in thought.
Our beautiful blue eyed little boy!  PLEASE stay little!
This photo cracks me up...she spotted another egg and I got lucky and caught that face!
Someone thought it was warm enough, which it wasn't and three off her coat.
I love this pic....Svea is trying to "distract" (her words) Kieran to his last egg.  He wasn't interested and it took us forever to guide him to his last one.
Easter morning...the Easter Bunny hid their baskets in the dryer!  Svea was so excited about this.  He also left eggs all over the house and in silly places like the silverware drawer and in their shoes.  They got a t-shirt (Elsa and Minions), summer water shoes, candy, books, and Easter eggs in their baskets.
Such an exciting morning!  The night before Mom kept hiding eggs in the family room when she wasn't looking and blaming it on the Easter Bunny.  She was so shocked and had so much fun finding eggs.  She asked me that night at bedtime if that was really me and Gaga doing that.  I told her I only hid a couple of them one time when she asked me to, but other than that it must have been the EB. I love listening to her analyze things out loud.  It's so cute what they think of and come to the conclusion about stuff like this.  The verdict is in....she thinks EB did it and not Gaga.
We asked Kieran to smile and he kept closing his eyes and doing this goofy grin.  MORE jelly beans.  He's pumped!
Happy Easter!
This was probably the most fun Easter yet!  With both of them so into all of the activities it was just a fun time!  Life is so magical through their eyes!
At church on Sunday Kieran was wiggly right away so I gave him my phone.  Then they had the children's sermon and he was excited to go up there, but the Octonauts kept distracting him.  He would flirt and smile at the other kids and then sit down to watch for a couple of seconds before walking all of the way up again to find a spot to sit.  Svea sat front and center and it always surprised me how she sits up there and doesn't demand attention from her Dad.
For the children's sermon Dan pulled out an old trick and cracked an egg on Jon's head!
Hanging out in the nursery.  We were in charge for the last service, but didn't get any kids.

Trying to catch a pic of the two of them.
Me and my baby! My camera was blurry....I was so bummed:(
And our handsome little man!  He got a lot of compliments in his bow tie.
If you notice this year we don't have a family picture with Dan.  He was a bit busier this year at the new church, but we did set the self timer and took some pics with Gaga!  We had a GREAT weekend and amazing time at our new church!
Svea had already changed and Kieran was being a ham!
We feel very blessed to be here in Moorhead!  The best part of Easter this year was how many questions and how often Svea wanted to hear about the story about Jesus dying on the cross for us.  She sees crosses everywhere, brings up the disciples, and just over all has a tender and empathetic heart.  We are so proud of her!
