Svea is staying dry in her pull-up at night. We are getting close to no more pull-ups. She almost wore underwear tonight, but then it didn't work out. Maybe this weekend she will try.
Kieran sat on the potty the other night, but didn't go pee. He likes to use toilet paper over. I am hoping to train him this summer, but that will depend on how he responds. We'll see!
(We got the tent out for a couple of weeks. We received it from Grandma and Grandpa D for Christmas and the kids had a blast playing in it. Their favorite thing was to pretend to camp and play what else, but the big bad wolf game)!
Kayla was in town and came to visit us last week Friday afternoon! We were SO excited to see her and I wasn't there when she arrived, but I heard Svea was quite shocked and happy.
I was giving Kieran eskimo kisses and butterfly kisses before bed the other night. He giggles, especially at the butterfly ones. He pulled my face away, pointed at my eyes, and said, "butterfly eyes". Then he giggled some more. It was a fun moment.
I remember when I used to take a picture of Svea every Sunday before leaving for church and now I have two little ones that I do this for. They are so cute...I'm just going to freeze time right here:)
Our nephew Shay is doing a Flat Stanley project at school and sent him to us for a little visit. Svea was camping with him and snuggling him. We still need to do a few more fun things with him before we send the pictures. I wish it would get warmer so we could take him outside. We had a 70 degree day two weekends ago and I think I'm officially in a depression in our 30's again.
Kieran will go to Rita's house next year and then to pre-school two mornings a week. I know that sounds WAY too early, but he qualifies for it because of his hearing loss. They want him in there as much as possible before he starts school. We just have to figure out what we are going to do for transportation.
We have a spot reserved for Svea to attend preschool next fall at another Lutheran church right around the corner from us. She will be in a classroom of 8-10 students and the center is really small so it'll be a good step for her going on into a bigger elementary school the next year. She doesn't know about it yet, but we'll start prepping her this summer. We hope she isn't too sad that she won't be going to Rita's anymore, but she really is ready for something like this.
Svea told me the other day that she had tackleitis. When I asked her what that was she said it meant she needed to tackle all week long. That girl cracks me up. Then Kieran and Svea proceeded to tackle each other and put Easter baskets on their heads and walk blindly around the room.
The kids have been having fun with the Easter baskets lately. Kieran put one on his head, spread his hands out, and blindly walks around. Our boy is crazy.....he is so silly and just runs and climbs and tackles until he crashes at night. I'm so thankful he also likes to cuddle.
Until next time...see ya later:) This girl is sporting some attitude.
