Last weekend my cousin Jill, her husband Matt, and their son Kye came to visit. My cousin Joe, his wife Andrea, and their two kids (Lydia and Owen) came too. They were in town for an event and it was great to have everyone over. We have enough room! It was nice! At first glance I thought it was Kieran in the highchair, but that is Kye (1) with Lydia who is my cousin Joe and his wife Andrea's daughter (2).
It went really quick, but was relaxing and fun...except for when I made meatloaf on Saturday night. I've NEVER made meatloaf, but I did because we had this huge thing of mashed potatoes left over from Christmas and I knew this would be a good time to use them. Ha! Owen and Joe went to a monster truck thing on Saturday, but when they got back Svea and Owen had a great time.
On Saturday when the little kids were napping the girls snuck out and did some quick shopping in downtown Fargo. I had a gift card from Christmas (thanks Mom and Ron). The guys stayed home with them and Svea watched Toy Story for the first time. I love being in FM. There is so much to do and it's only 5 minutes away instead of 50! I love this picture of Svea and the light saber. I must have caught it at just the right time. It was so interesting. As soon as everyone showed up she went into her room and put on this princess dress and wore it ALL DAY. She's never done that and it was so different. She's growing up and having so many thoughts and ideas. It's fun to watch!
Andrea and Lydia! It was fun to have Lydia around...fun to have all of the kids around. It was a hopping place. I'm so thankful for the layout of our new house. The kids had plenty of space to play and run and roll around on the floor. Kieran had a good time too. He really likes to show off when people come and he gets very excited and energized. He was into his fair share of mischief:) Svea did so well sharing all of the toys in the house and Kieran did pretty well with it too.
She is not too sure about getting her picture taken:)
I know I barely have any pictures of the adults, but they were there! These guys are much more interesting! It was a good weekend. It came and went so quick! The Morrison's stayed with us on Friday night and then got a hotel on Saturday. We never made it over to even swim. I suppose when you have nappers it's hard to squeeze all of that in.
Once everyone left on Saturday night we went to bed, had church the next day, and then my mom showed up in the afternoon since and watched the kids while we had our first Dave Ramsey Financial Peace class. We've been meaning to do it for a few years and this is the right time. Later we all watched the superbowl, the commercials, and the half time show. It was pretty uneventful, but just the way we like it:)
