It's Cold Outside!

The other night after the first snow, I came home with the kids and Svea went crazy for the snow.  She wanted to play outside, but it was too cold for Kieran to be out so I  told her I would when Dad got home.
We were able to go out for a few minutes after Dan got home and Kieran was in bed.  She went nuts and loved...LOVED...LOVED it! We ran up and down the yard, she did a snow angel, and made a snow chair.  She even did a little shoveling. I don't think the smile left her face.  The poor thing though...now it's freezing out and we can't go out, but we will today.
I think it's so cute how Kieran grabs his own book, pulls up his chair and slowly and methodically makes his way through his book. He is like a little man:)
The kids were hanging out with Dan the other night in our bed being silly! How are we ever going to get this boy to drop the paci!
We have been trying to teach Svea the real meaning of Christmas this year since she's old enough to understand both the real reason and the commercial. One of the things we did was take her to the store to pick out a gift for a boy or girl for Christmas.  She couldn't decide on a boy or girl so she picked out a mini Lalaloopsy doll for both the boy and girl. Pretty funny!  She had a little bit of trouble with wanting it for herself, but overall did well with it and wanted to wrap it.  You can see her message to the kids on the package below.
I love transcribing for her and writing it down word for word! Stay warm everybody:)
