My Mom drove down to Paynesville on Thursday night and then drove with us back to Jamestown on Friday afternoon so that we could spend another weekend at Gaga's house. Dan had a busy weekend with a wedding and came to join us on Monday!
We immediately took advantage of the beautiful weather and large shaded yard! I am in love with my Mom and Ron's new house and property. They have an extra lot and it's on the river (although it feels far away and doesn't make me nervous) and there are lots of large trees, perennials, and it's far off the street. The driveway is long and hard to maneuver, but it's worth it:) Here we played in the sprinkler on the first day!
Kieran wasn't too sure about the grass. Most of the time he crawled like a monkey with his knees up and far away from the grass. He got over that eventually, but it was nice at first because he wouldn't go any farther than our large outdoor rug that we kept on the lawn.
Later on in the weekend we got the pool out. I think this was the day that Dan arrived. This is what we were doing when he came:) Each morning we went for a walk in the park, which is just down the block. It's the largest park in Jamestown and is almost a mile all of the way around. Kieran enjoyed the scenery and Svea liked the swings! My mom's best friend, Judy, also lives right down the block and right before the park. She came on a walk one day with us too!
The kids' took good naps due to all of the sun and fun we were having! Kieran didn't sleep the best. He got his first two teeth on the same night on his 11 month birthday. One on the bottom and one on the top. Ouch!
Poor guy was clawing at his mouth one day:(
Grandpa Ron stays super busy, but always has time to play with the kids. I think he likes the new house. He's got all kinds of projects going on and so far he has put in all new electrical sockets throughout the house, remodeled the laundry room, painted the entire house, which included removing some wallpaper (Mom and Judy helped), tons of upkeep outside, and I'm sure many more that I can't even name. It's fun to see him more since he's got all of his "projects" to do at the house now. He reminds me of my cousin Joe. He can't sit still for more than 5 minutes unless he falls asleep. My cousin Joe actually played so hard one day over the 4th that he threw up one night from heat exhaustion.
Toys, toys, toys. It's always fun to play with new toys that you don't normally see!
At one point Kieran crawled into a bucket, but then Svea did the same and got into his space. He didn't like that so much:)
My Mom and I had a blast. Each day we played hard outside in the morning and went on a walk, had lunch with the kids and they took good naps. Then, we would quickly get a work-out in and lay out in the sun talking and reading magazines. After naps we'd play in the pool or the sprinkler until it was time to come in and start getting supper ready. I am in LOVE with warm summer days, especially with family:)
