11 Months Old

I am going to be doing some back dating posts to catch up!  We had a great week long vacation!!!

Kieran-You are now 11 months old and have tons going on.  You can say Mum, bay-beh, and Dah for Daddy! You wear 9 month jammies and 12 month clothes.  You wear size 3 diaper and 4 at night. You are still nursing approximately 4 times a day and more at night, but we are on operation sleep through the night and Mom is super conflicted as to what to do, but we are on a serious mission.  I read something somewhere about pediatric sleep specialists and I'd rather not go down that road.  You nap 1 time a day and it can be anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours.  If you happen to only nap short then you take two naps.

You love to investigate as we like to call it, look and have books read to you, climb, mess with your sister, look out the window and "talk" to people and birds, and crawl like mad all over the place.  We are a little concerned with how strong you are as you can pull yourself up on your crib rail a little too close for comfort.  You may be on a mattress on the floor or a toddler before your 2nd birthday for sure. You will stand on your own for about half a second and have occasionally been interested in letting go. Otherwise you are so fast at crawling that you'd rather do that.  You have finally started eating a little better.  You have tried tiny bites of chicken, black beans, bread, yogurt, cheese, cheerios, and banana.  I was getting worried you were just going to nurse until you were 5:)

You have started to sporadically wave good-bye and still give high fives and do so big.  You are giggly and laugh at your sister doing all sorts of things.  The other night we stood outside on the front porch and blew bubbles for your sister before bed.  You thought it was incredibly funny and giggled until we ran out. You also love for us to lay on the floor and you'll come and tackle us. 

Kieran you are the sweetest most snuggly little boy.  Our favorite time of day is picking you up out of your crib in the morning and getting a big old bear hug from you. We love you so much and think you make our family complete.  We simply love having a little boy and love you just the way you are:)
