We had a nice day on Monday. It's so different with me not working on Mondays and us all getting to spend the whole day together. We played outside, Dan and I worked out, we did some laundry, the kids took decent naps....it was fun!
It's Town and Country Days this week in Paynesville. There is a parade tonight and yesterday the kids and I ate lunch downtown at the "fair". Svea thinks the "fair" is dirty now that I told her she couldn't wear her white pants down there. Woops...meant to tell her just not outside. She had a hot dog and a red snow cone, but she wanted pink. Kieran babbled and talked to the rides and the people that we ran into. Mom had a pork chop on a stick with bacon around it, which is Dad's favorite. Maybe we'll get down there tonight for dinner so he can have one and then watch the parade.
I heard some really good news from someone at the fair too! Paynesville is getting a splash park and I seriously almost peed my pants. I've been wanting to go to the one in St. Cloud, but a 45 minute drive each way doesn't seem worth it when it's only a 30 minute or so event. I don't know when it'll be finished, but it was approved and will be built approximately two blocks from our house! It seriously made my day. It's the perfect place for little ones who can't swim yet! So excited!
