Summer? Break?

Summer Break to me means warm, sunny, and a break from every day reality.  Our summer so far is only one of those and for only one of us.  It isn't warm, it isn't sunny, and I am the only one who is having a break from work at school, but let me tell you....it is no break:)  This stay at home Mom thing with two kids is serious business:)  And, I love it, but I'm tired:)

I've had a couple of days home with the kids, had a less than 24 hour visit from Grandpa Ron and Gaga, Dan went to synod assembly (wildly entertaining), went on a shopping day trip with my cousins, and now we sit on a Sunday afternoon staring at the gray clouds.  Svea would say, "Dark clouds means rain is coming, white clouds means its dry"!

Here is a picture of Kieran literally climbing the wall because he's so excited to see Dan go by while mowing the lawn.  They were having a great time.  Each time Dan would pass by the window Kieran would giggle, giggle, giggle.  He loves his Dad SO much!
My Mom and Ron stayed with us last Thursday night on their way to Wisconsin for my step-sisters wedding shower.  She is getting married in September in Mexico!  Since it is so cold and crummy outside they brought the beach to us with this pop up shade tent for Kieran this summer.  It also doubles as a fun indoor fort tent too!
Thanks for the quick visit!  It was too short, but wonderful!
Here is my cousin Jill (preggo 25 weeks!), my cousin Joe's wife Andrea and her 5 month old baby Lydia.  We had a wonderful shopping day in the cities yesterday.  Jackie stayed with the kids and I don't even think they noticed I was gone.  I said a few prayers in the car because it is still just so hard to leave my babies for a whole day! Jill wanted to do some baby shopping so we hit a ton of boutiques around the metro area.  Super fun to do that and get some good girl time.  I love my cousin and my guy cousins' wives.  They are like sisters!
Dan is home now and has tomorrow off!  I've been talking to Svea about the "farm" and the "zoo".  She said she wants to go "right now Mommy"!  If it ever gets above 55 degrees we'll see!
