How Are We Doing?

Kieran is still sleeping well. I keep waiting for him to struggle with reflux, but so far so good. I am averaging about 6-7 hours of sleep at night, which I am thankful for. I think it is pretty decent considering. It's so nice having Dan home. I've been able to nap a few times. Dan is getting a little bit more sleep, but not a ton more.  If I am really struggling to get up and feed  the baby he'll get up with me and help me get the process started. It helps that Kieran is quicker at nursing already.  The longest he really goes is 15-20 minutes.  With Svea I remember the marathon 40 minute stretches....eek!
Svea has been so good with the baby. She likes to give him kisses and so far doesn't seem to be jealous when I am holding or feeding him. If one of us is busy with the baby she just comes to the other if she needs something.
The little guy sleeps much better swaddled....something his sister hated and only tolerated a few nights. That could easily change though.
Dan has now lost 17 lbs in ten weeks! I've lost 17 lbs. in 10 days. I don't know what took him so long:) Ok, I may have some circumstances that make that an easy task, but Dan is doing so well!  Svea would not tolerate a walk last night so he waited until she was in bed and went anyway. Dedication!
We had newborn pictures today with my good friend Krista! As soon as we have photos we will post! In most he is awake, but that's ok. He is just an alert little guy. I got pooped on once and Dan got peed on twice!
I was able to get outside yesterday for a brief time to sit in the sun. It felt heavenly to lay on my stomach! Later on Svea and I played with her water table in the backyard. It feels good to be doing some normal  things again. I even gave her a bath last night!  This is something that Dan has been doing for the last month because reaching down to the tub was too painful.
We are so proud of these two! If you can't tell that is a motorcycle on Kieran's shirt and string cheese in the girl's hand:)
Our little Gap baby.  He's already styling!  I love him in bold colors with stripes!  It's my favorite!
