Sicky Svea (Dec. 31st)

Mommy and Daddy got their first experience of Svea getting sick..and in the car! On the way home from Wisconsin I was feeding her a snack in the backseat of cottage cheese and applesauce.  All of the sudden it all came right back up.  She seemed ok, but then I started gagging from the smell and let me tell you.  She couldn't have been THAT sick because this little girl thought that was the most hilarious thing she had ever heard.  Dan informed me that we had a mile to the next exit where we proceeded to pull over and Dan cleaned her up while I sat with my head hanging outside the window.  Poor girl and poor Dan! After getting her cleaned up we hit the road again and she did just fine until we got home.  She had a mild fever by then and wasn't too interested in supper.  A little Tylenol and she was off to bed.  The next day she still had a fever and developed a thicker cough.  The next day her fever lifted, but that night I felt some crackling on her back and she woke up every hour.  Dan took her in the next day and that's when we found out little girl had a double ear infection and an upper respiratory infection.  Steroids, nebulizer, and antibiotics for this girl.  We are on our second day of treatment and Dan and I are juggling taking off time from work.  She's super cuddly and has had a few nights of sleeplessness.  We're hoping these treatments do the trick, but in the meantime she's still happy and hanging in there!
