Random Thoughts From the Dornfelds

-I haven't taken a lot of pictures of Svea lately.  I'm working on it.  I' m still waiting to get my energy back like you are supposed to during your 2nd trimester and it hasn't quite arrived yet.
-Dan was home with us tonight!  First Tuesday night in probably six months!  We had fun playing, but little girl was oh, so crabby tired tonight.
-Svea's sleep schedule is a bit mixed up lately.  She wakes up for about an hour around 5:00 or 6:00 am, but then falls back asleep way past her normal 8:00 am wake-up time.  We're praying it works itself out as it's affecting her nap schedule and her mood:)
-See above as to why I am maybe still tired.  See above as to why Dan is also quite tired.  Read every single post about Svea and you'll realize we know this is only but a small blip on the uncomfortable parenting scale and we could care less if we lose a little sleep.  Now, come another baby and we might not have as good of attitudes about less sleep:)
-I've been nervous about carrying Svea in her infant car seat as she is getting quite heavy.  This morning Dan majorly kinked his back lifting her in a unique way so we are now researching convertible car seats.  I feel like I'm back in the agonizing process of reading reviews and analyzing pros and cons of every baby product on the market.  It's only ONE product...we can do this:)
-Our church is interviewing candidates for an associate pastor.  It's actually happening!  It's been over a year without a stable second pastor so we are both very excited.
-We took Svea swimming the other day during a church event at BugBee Resort.  There were an insane amount of kids in the pool so I just got in with her in the shallow end and let her experience the water up to her waist.  Dan was in charge of taking pictures for the church so I was able to steal one:)  I'm hoping she's more into it in a couple of weeks when we go to Wisconsin Dells!

-Dan and I were able to get away on another date last weekend.  We went out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse because we had a gift card there and then did a little shopping, with ice cream on the way home.  It might not seem like much, but it was very nice to be able to sit down and actually look at each other.  We're usually running here and there or collapsing on the couch after little girl is asleep that we don't get as many chances to do this.  It was actually a make-up date for our Anniversary....just one month late:) This is just what life is like with an adorable baby....I mean toddler.  That's hard for me to say!
