15 Months

Svea!  You are 15 months old yesterday!  We took you to the dr. and you weight 20lbs. on the nose, which is in the 34%.  You were 29 and 1/4 inches tall, which is the 13% percentile.  It's not a surprise, but it's looking like you will be on the shorter like your Mom and Dad.  You needed two shots, but they couldn't give them to you because you have a moderate fever and some type of virus.  Mommy will take you in next week to get those and already this morning your fever is still there, but much lower.
Svea, you love to play and continue to want to play with us for awhile and then you'll wander off to play on your own.  You still love to read books, dance, and say hi to the puppy and pet the kitty.  One of our favorite things that you say is "there" only it comes out as "dare".  You use this word a lot.  You are trying so hard to repeat more words that we say, but most times they just won't come out quite yet!  You say approximately 12 words, can make many animals sounds, and can name your tummy, belly button, head, ears, and mouth.  This past weekend Gaga asked to see your lips and you puckered them out.  Very cute! We are working on your nose and eyes.
You're eating pretty well and sleeping just a little bit less.  We are hoping it's a very short phase.  Knock on wood, you slept twelve hours again last night.  It felt SO good to sleep in until 7:45!  You know our routine around the house.  Gaga babysat you last night and when she hadn't gotten the humidifier ready you went over to it and started dragging it out of the corner.  You knew that books came next.  Before bed you are a great cuddler too.  You'll lay on our shoulder while we rock you and put you in your crib almost sleeping. You now have six teeth with four on top and two on the bottom.
You are wearing size 12-18 month clothes and a size 4 diaper.  You eat three meals a day, drink whole milk, and have a few snacks.  You do not eat any sugary desert unless daycare had a special treat.  Mom and Dad don't really like it.  As long as you don't know what it is maybe you won't want it as much when you are older.  If worked for your Mom and pop.  I hate it and Gaga never gave it to me. You can help get yourself undressed when we get ready for bath time too. Lately it's been a chore to get you to sit down in the tub.  You want to stand up and walk around.  You still love your bath, but for a shorter amount of time.  You get super silly right afterwards when we wrap you in your towel and look in the mirror.  You giggle and squeal at yourself. Sometimes you throw a temper tantrum if we take away something that you shouldn't have.  You get over it pretty quick when you see we've walked away and nothing will come of it.  You listen really well.  Most times if Mom or Dad tell you no you will look at us, think about it, and then turn and walk away from whatever we didn't want you to be touching.  Occasionally you take off with it and run away!
We love you so much Svea.  We both say how excited we get on days that we have to work and it's getting close to the end of the day.  We can't wait to come home and see you.  You are such a delight and your giggle is like music to our ears.  We love you baby girl!
