June Review

I can't believe the summer is already 1/3 gone:(  We had a great first month, but it sure went fast.  Dan went on a mission trip up to Glacier Montana (so jealous that he got to see those amazing sites), the kids and I traveled to Jamestown for a long weekend, and we hung around the house going to the pool and the park. In between pictures I've put a few things or sayings that the kids have been saying lately.
Svea will sometimes say that she loves her toys or her clothes, but then she'll add in at the end that she loves God more though.
When Kieran was sick at the beginning of June she said a nice prayer for him one night. (Dear God, Please heal Kieran so that he can go and do fun things.  I pray that he feels better so that he can come to church with me).
Svea had a great time at vacation bible school!  God has the power to provide, forgive, heal, comfort, and love you forever!
Dan bought Kieran some superhero signs for his room.  When he brought them home and started hanging them up one by one he got SO excited. He screeched, pointed, and laughed shouting, "Ironman, Batman, Spiderman"!  I was surprised he got that excited about it and it was fun to see.  His Dad was so proud:)
When we visited the park earlier this month Kieran was so excited to see Buddy the dinosaur, but he wouldn't take a picture with him.  He hung onto my leg and just watched Svea go up to him. He also loves to play his "stuck in dare" game.  He will surround himself with pillows, chairs, books or whatever he has on hand and say, "Mommy/Daddy I stuck in dare"!

If I had to guess the kids' favorite part of the summer so far it would probably be the pool.  At the wade pool they both wear their life jackets and can walk back and forth to each side.  Kieran is growing to love it and asks to go to the pool almost daily.  When we were in Jamestown I took Svea to the public pool and she learned how to jump off the side.  She is very much into "trying new things".  "Mommy, watch this" as she climbs something new at the park or is able to get onto the swing by herself!  We had a blast in Jamestown too when Dan was gone. Both kids fell asleep in the car on the way home and both asked to go back when they woke up. We went to the park, played in the pool in the backyard, went to the public pool and played around the house.  Summer has been great so far!
