Happy 21 Months Old Baby Boy!
Clothes: You wear 18 month clothes and still a few items of 12 months shirts and pants. 18 month jammies
Clothes: You wear 18 month clothes and still a few items of 12 months shirts and pants. 18 month jammies
Shoes: still size 4. We have some 5's, but they fall off your feet.
Diapers: Size 4 diapers and we just ordered some 5's for nighttime as you are a little damp some mornings.
Sleep: You sleep from about 8:00-8:30 until 7:30-8:30 the next morning. You nap for 1.5 to 3.0 hours for your naps.
Teeth: Still just 12.2455....you are just cutting one or two. We can't really see, but you have been crabby from time to time.
Traveling: We traveled to Jamestown this month for a weekend of fun at Gaga's house. We visited Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Fugleberg as well. They hadn't seen you both for a year and were so excited to see you!!!
Talking: You are talking much more now. You like to point to your nose, ears, and eyes and say the names. You get a goofy grin on your face each time. You continue to read books to us and say phrases like, "what's that" and "get down" (to Meeko if he gets up on the counter). You are starting torepeat words that we ask you too now as well.
Favorite Activity: You LOVE to play outside. You go from toy to toy...your trike, to your Thomas the Train, to the Little Red Car. Today you brought me to the stroller and you wanted to go for a ride. Your sister drove around the block on her bike and we followed her through the retirement community behind our house. You laid back and just enjoyed the scenery. You cry when we have to come inside:(
Favorite Books: You still love to read. If you run back to the back bedrooms and you are quiet we know what you are doing. We come to check and there you are sitting on your chair or the floor with book after book:) It's pretty funny how "into" books you are. I wonder if that will continue for you? You still like a little shorter book and when they rhyme or have rhythm to them.
Favorite Foods: peanut butter, lots of fruits, and yogurt covered raisins. If we put something in front of you that you will eat we just keep it coming because you still are a bit of a picky eater.
Foods Dislike: sweet potatoes. I don't know if it'll ever happen for you. If we cover them in applesauce you will eat them though.
Favorite Songs: We caught you trying to sing the ABC's. Only we can tell and it's all random letters with a few in order, but it's oh so cute!
Dislikes: Diaper changes, getting dressed, and getting into your car seat. We turn on Curious George (your favorite) for a few minutes to change you and it works wonders. You will sometimes bring us the remote and talk gibberish and point at the tv and make monkey sounds. When we say no, not right now...you sometimes cry and throw a fit. Speaking of diaper changes the other day I went to change you and you squirmed away, ran to Svea's room, and went poop in your diaper. It was the first time that I've witnessed you poop on your own terms, when you chose to do so.
Favorite Word: No....we ask you if you want some of your favorite things and you immediately spit out, "No".
Things we are learning: How to point and say more body parts. You are starting to repeat the names of shapes. I think you've said "star" with your Dad. You have also tried to count a few times. You learned the concept of hide n seek this past month. Svea will hide and you'll run around trying to find her and look in places and say, "no" and then keep going to another place. It's really cute because you are mimicking Mom and Dad when we play. We purposefully talk out loud and looks in places we know you are not and draw out the big "No" when you are not there. Then when we find you we laugh and tickle. It was really cute to see you wandering around and doing that:)

We love you SO much Kieran. Some nights you'll still put your head on my shoulder before bed. I will sit and rock you like that until you stop because it is such a precious time. You love to rough house with your Dad and play with your sister. You love her so much and want to do everything that she does. We love you...just the way God made you baby boy! We can't believe you will already be two in three short months!
