So the last two weeks we've had some sick cookies at our house. Dan and Kieran picked up influenza A...like the real kind confirmed at the doctor and immediately started anti-viral meds:( They both were in rough shape. We could kind of tell how Kieran might be feeling based on how Dan was feeling the next day. We think they both picked it up Christmas Eve night since Kieran started showing signs Christmas Day afternoon. One night Kieran was up for four straight hours just crying unless he was being snuggled and another morning I thought we may just have to take Dan in to the hospital. They got through the worst of it though. Kieran wasn't as bad as he had the flu shot and we talked about making sure Dan gets one next year too. I think he is all for that one:)
Svea and I never did get it (thankfully) and the boys are still showing lingering effects of it almost two weeks later. The kids went back to daycare and then Dan and I went back to work.....for about a day:) Then this crazy cold spell hit and we've been hiding out in the house for going on our third day now. We've had actual temps hitting in the negative 20's and then when you factor in the wind...we'll I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. There is no school today and I'm waiting to see about tomorrow. We've had to be creative to keep these two entertained. Here Dan and the kids are playing hide and seek from Mommy!
