Clothes: You are mostly wearing size 12 month clothes with some 18 month tops sprinkled in. You are still in 12 month jammies.
Shoes: size 3 shoes, but I don't think it'll be long before you move on.
Diapers: size 4 during the day and night. I'm sure soon we'll need to move up to 5 at night.

Sleep:7 to 7 or 8 to 8. It depends on when you go down to bed. You just got and are getting over Influenza A and have been obviously sleeping a lot more than that. We are thankful that you have your flu shot because it didn't effect you as badly as your Dad:( You only had one night of being up for 4 hours, which at one point Mom got out the pack n play and laid in it with you. It didn't work. You just wanted me to rock and hold you...poor guy:( You nap about 1.5 to 2.5 hours each day after lunch. You are a pretty good sleeper.
Teeth: You have 9 so far... I think? It's hard to get a good look in there. You've gotten two of your 1 year molars and the other two are just starting to come in.
Traveling: We traveled to Wisconsin this past month for Christmas. You were overall really good in the car, except for on the way home. You were constipated and had had it:)
Talking:You will say Mom and Dad and make quite a few animal noises. You are often having to defend your personal space and toys you are playing with from a certain someone so a common word you use a lot is Noooooo....at your sister:) You love to sit down with a book and pretend to read it out loud. I so wish we knew what you were saying!
Favorite Activity: Reading your books, climbing on top of/into/around/through/underneath anything and everything:) You have gotten into cars a little bit this past month. Your Grandma and Grandpa D got you some farm toys and you have been enjoying those. You also like to try and participate in whatever your sister is doing. Occasionally I take out blocks and you enjoy those as well!
Favorite Books:They have to be short and sweet and rhyme. We mostly read short board books right now. I think you would sit for a really long time if we just kept going.
Favorite Foods: Applesauce, peas, peanut butter bread, and Greek yogurt. You are actually quite picky and it's hard to get you to try anything new. I think I may need to start up that multi-vitamin again since we can see your ribs and you have yet to make it to 20lbs!

Foods Disliked:Vegetables. We cannot get you to eat many of those. It's frustrating, but we keep trying. You will like something and gobble it down at one meal and if we try it on another day you might absolutely detest it.
Favorite Songs: I'm not sure if you really have a favorite. We sing a bedtime prayer before bed and if we put music on you like to dance. (you march in place).
Dislikes: Diaper changes. Sometimes you will lay down just fine, but most times it's a battle. We try and find interesting things for you to check out and at times we use cartoons as a distraction.
Favorite Word: Mom and Dad or animal sounds. I think your favorite sounds would be an elephant and a duck as those are the ones that you get a big smile on your face when you do.
Things we are learning: You are learning how to share things back and forth. We'll ask you for a toy and you'll give it to us with a smile on your face and then we'll give it back to you. You've learned how to scream, throw things, and throw mini tantrums when you don't get your way. You are mostly just interested in building, exploring, and moving. We try body parts with you, but you get distracted a lot and are off! When you are concentrating really hard on something you stick out your little tongue. That is something new this past month. You know the remote control changes things on the tv. You will grab it and point it at the tv. You also love to "talk" on pretend phones.
Kieran Carter-we can't imagine our lives without you. We love you oh, so much!!! My favorite time with you is your snuggles and hugs and when you lay your head down on our shoulders. You just love to snuggle, but on your own time. We take advantage of every second you give us:)
