Labor Day

We had a really quiet weekend, which was really nice after the go, go, go we've been doing lately.  It was nice to catch up on laundry, clean the house, and just play at home with no plans before getting started with craziness tomorrow:)  We did have Schumakers over for dinner tonight and that was fun!  Here's a couple of pictures and funny things Svea has been saying lately.
Mommy read you a book the other night and it had a nest with bird eggs in it.  We talked about how baby birds are born out of eggs so when we had breakfast the next day and were eating hard boiled eggs you said, "this egg has a bird in it".  I explained to you that a mama bird would have to sit on it first, so you took the egg and sat on it.  "I sit on it mama, and a baby bird will be there"!  So cute....I then had to explain how it HAS to be a bird that sits on it:)
When we were in Wisconsin you asked to play outside one day, but when we looked there were bees swarming the play equipment at Grandma and Grandpa D's house so I told you we couldn't right then.  You came up with many ideas to help solve our bee problem. Here is what you said.  1. Can we get bug spray? I told you that only works for mosquitos.  2. How about suntan lotion, you said:)  I told you that only blocks the sun. 3. Then you asked me if we could go out the front door instead of the back door, but I told you they were out there too.  4. Finally you said, how about we use this (toy on the floor) and catch the bees.  It was very funny because you were quite consistent and intent on finding a solution to our problem. We didn't end up going outside, but later in the day we went outside to do sidewalk chalk when the bee population was a little lighter.
Sometimes when people ask you for a hug now you say to them, "not today"! Cousin Josh asked you for one on a night up at the lake for the Carter family reunion.  You had never said that before and got a laugh from the whole crowd.

Kieran's 13 month post coming soon!!! Hope everyone has a good first week of school! (2nd/3rd week for my ND peeps)
