Wisconsin Part 2

We had a wonderful time in Wisconsin last week!  We packed in a lot of activities, saw tons of family (literally there were 100 people at a picnic), and spent time with Grandma and Grandpa D. Above you see a picture of the scenery on the way to Ripon.  Dan's Mom and Dad watched the kids so we could go to Kmart to look for Green Bay Packer T-shirts!  It was a blissful hour long date....not kidding:0  Thank you Dean and Kathy for that hour:)
Stuart and Megan graciously watched our kids on Friday night and let us go to the game.  It was my first one and Dan's ???  It was great.  The atmosphere was great, The company was fun, the starters were in for a few minutes (preseason game) and we ate a ton of food.  A brat, cheese curds, ice cream, a brownie, and two drinks!  How could you go wrong.  I'm not kidding we ate all of that. It was like being at the fair.  I think I may even be forgetting something too!
We had fourth row seats!  It was fun to be so close to the field too! Thank you again Stuart and Megan for gifting us time together.
Here are the two boys getting into trouble while we were away.  Little Dan and little Stuart all over again.  They look so sweet, innocent, and cute.  Can you believe our kids went to sleep for Stuart and Megan quicker than they do for us.  Geesh!  I'm happy it went smooth for them though!
Saturday was the big event.  Grandma Kok's 90th birthday party.  By the end of the afternoon there were just shy or a little over 100 people there.  I haven't even met all of Dan's relatives yet and we've been together for 6 1/2 years.  He doesn't either so it's ok!  Ha! I love this picture even though our kids aren't looking.  It's such a good one of everyone else! Four generations!!! Grandma Kok lasted all afternoon and all she did was smile, talk to people, and line up for some crazy photos with her clan.  It was a beautiful afternoon and we all had fun....minus the bees.  I could have gone without the bees.  Poor Rhonda (Dan's cousin) probably thinks I'm nuts.  I asked her to get food for me because Kieran kept reaching for it off my plate (aka: I was deathly afraid of being stung by a bee) and she wanted me to follow her to pick out what I wanted.  I couldn't even get near the line and just hollered for her to put on "whatever"!
The whole Dornfeld family.  We haven't taken a whole family picture since 2009.  We've added three new Dornfelds since then! Kathy and Diane....I have an idea as to how relatives by marriage could remember who is who at these Kok get-togethers.  What if each siblings family wore all of the same color?  I vote we do NOT get yellow.  Bees!
Shay and Ashlyn came over a few times to play.  Ashlyn is like a pre-teen now and it just feels like yesterday she was dressing up in princess dresses.  Crazy! Shay just loves all kids who are smaller than him and doted on both kids.  It's so fun to see our kids interact with their cousins.  That's all I had so I know how important they are:)  Svea had a blast too with the girls up in Green Bay.  She slept in a room with Hannah and Elizabeth and she kept calling "their" room "her" room.

It went to fast, but it was a great visit!  Thank you for having us and our tornado clan.  We had fun making memories with all of you!

p.s. Kristin and Shane-thank you for all of the veggies.  I already made a veggie bake and gave a zucchini to a co-worker who brought muffins the next day.  That's my kind of baking!  Anyway, I am hoping to attempt the Zucchini/Chocolate Chip bread because OMGosh...Dan can't stop talking about it!
