10 Months Old

I can't believe it, but our baby is already 10 months old.  His baby time has gone so much quicker than with Svea.  It makes me sad and I wish I could slow down the time:(

 Kieran-You are growing, strong, and sweet.  You get up once during the night IF I feed you a little more milk in a bottle after nursing before bed and make sure to feed you lots of solids during the day.  Sorry kid, I guess it makes sense that you need to eat and Mama is making a conscious effort to just feed you more during the day:)  Hopefully you'll wean off your middle of the night feeding easily because when we are done nursing I don't want to have to let you cry:( You sleep anywhere from 7:30/8:30 pm until 7:30-9:00 in the morning.  You soothe yourself back to sleep with a pacifier in your mouth and one in your hand.  If you need more soothing you pop up and turn on your music player.

 You are wearing 9 month jammies and 9-12 month clothes. When you have a bottle you take 5.5 ounces.  You are flirting with only taking one nap a day.  Some days that's what you do and others you still need two.  You like orange veggies better than green, love puffs, and are getting used to prunes.  Too much rice cereal has a slowing down reaction to your digestive system.  You are getting better at drinking from a sippy cup.  Pretty soon you'll have it down. Your ultimate snack is your socks though.  Thank goodness it's summer and we don't have to put them on as much because you just rip them off right away anyway and they are soaked:)

 You love to dig through toy bins, pull all of the books off the shelf, look at board books on your own, look out the window, play in the curtains, follow and tackle your sister, sit and listen to a few books, give big hugs in the morning, wiggle like crazy for diaper changes, give high 5's, do "SO Big", drive in the red radio flyer car, and can almost wave hi and bye bye.  You are learning many new things!  You are saying lots of sounds too!

 You are still a calm little guy.  Of course when we take something away that you don't want us too you sometimes throw a mini tantrum and you have your crabby moments, but for the most part you are quite content with whatever we are doing and wherever we are going.  No stranger anxiety from you yet and no issues with saying goodbye at daycare.  When I come to pick you up you get a huge smile on your face and crawl right over to see me!  I love it:)

You are a monkey and with the right toys in the right place can crawl all of the way up to the ottoman by yourself.  (said toys have been reorganized) Here's a picture of you trying to climb your way up the buffet the other day when I had the door open.  We have to watch you like a hawk. You also have this funny noise you make with your mouth that sounds like a cat purr.  You do this when you are crawling across the room. 

Here is a video of you being a monkey crawling in of the laundry basket:)  Your Dad was home with you today and said you crawled in and out and in and out, repeat!
