7 Months Old

Kieran-Mr. Blue Eyes still:)  You are so adorable!  This past month was a HUGE month for you as far as doing new physical things.  You learned how to sit on your own, crawl, and pull yourself up to stand this past month. You are tenacious and if you want to go after something you do and quickly! When I find you with toys that you shouldn't have and take them away you get feisty and let out a huge pathetic cry, which is so adorable even if you don't think so at the time.
You are nursing about 7 times a day and still getting up once or twice a night.  That is probably more due to your Mom not being able to deny you are let you cry.  You go to bed around 7:30/8:00 and sleep until 7:00/8:00 am. Oh sweet baby it is so hard to hear you cry, so I usually just get up.  I'm a wimp:)  You take 5.5 ounces when you take a bottle and are eating solids anywhere from 1-3 times a day.  Rice cereal, carrots, and green beans are what you've tried so far.  You also enjoy trying to put "puffs" into your mouth, but most of them don't make it there, but we are practicing!
You wear size 6-9 month clothes/sleepers and a size 3 diapers/4 at night.  There are still 6 month clothes that you fit you though too. You weight 16lbs. 4 ounces and are the same height as last month.  Mom took you to the hospital the other day for a c/t scan of your ear and they needed to sedate you with oral medication so you would lay very still. As the meds were taking effect you were SO silly.  The nurse asked me if you were crying and I said, no, you were just laughing.
You interact and laugh and play with your sister so much more now.  You are into her toys and crawl after her.  Sometimes she is into you and sometimes not.  She calls you "KierNan".  You are finally starting to be more vocal this month too.  So far I can't tell, but it sounds like you are making some b, m, and l sounds?  When we feed you, you get really vocal and blow raspberries at us, which makes for some yummy green beans right back on us:)
You blow us away with how strong you are.  We are not used to this, so of course we think it's amazing although it might just be very normal:) I just told you today how crazy it was that you are here.  I still, some some moments, still can't believe I was pregnant with you and now you are here.  We can't tell you enough how much we love you and how special you are to us.  My favorite part of the day if the precious few seconds you lay your head on my shoulder and let me burp you before wiggling to be set free down in your crib.  Your rocking chair only gets used to nurse.  You are not a snuggler/rocker before bed.  I'm hoping this eventually changes though!
Overall you are still very smiley, happy, and content.  You do very well playing on your own with your toys when Mom is attending to your sister.  I'd say your favorite toy right now is the Fisher Price Zoo that we have.  You'll lay on the floor and push the buttons that make noise and then pull yourself up to check out the whole thing.

Kieran, we love you little man!  You are a light in this world and to us!
