Happy 14th months baby girl! You continue to try and do new things and your personality continues to come out. You are a very happy little girl, you are silly, and so serious and interested in things at times too. You seem to have a sense of humor too as you try to do things that you think will make us laugh. We LOVE it! You will throw the occasional tantrum these days when you don't get what you want or something gets taken away that you think you need, but you recover pretty quickly.
You wear size 12 -18 month clothes and it all depends on the brand. There are some 12 months pants that I still roll and some 18 month shirts that are getting a little short on your cute belly. You even just wore a size 6 month onesie the other day when we had to change you after throwing up in the car. That's another post to come! You wear a size 3 diaper and 4 at night although starting on the 28th you went straight to 4's:) We'll find out next month your height and weight. We stopped nursing this month. I believe it was December 9th was our first day without nursing at all, or else it was the last night, but I can't remember. It made me sad, but you were ready. You made it a really nice transition for us and you made it an easier on Mommy...thank you;) You eat three meals a day and either one or two snacks. You drink milk and water and can now sign for milk!
You started saying a few new words this month. ("There" and "Whoa") Mom and Dad must say "there" a lot because you will give us a toy and say, "there". You will rip the wrapping paper off your presents, hand it to us, and say "there". You say "there" a lot! We think you learned "Whoa" from Mason at daycare. He says it a lot when something is interesting or exciting. Mama is still Baba, but you are slowly getting better. Your favorite thing to do is go to the closed bathroom door and say Daddy, daaaad, dada? You always think he is in there and even when he is you can't wait for him to get out. Whenever someone starts putting their coat on you'll recognize it right away and say byeeee! It is so cute!
You sleep twelve hours a night from 8 pm to 8 am. You nap anywhere from 1/2 hour a day to 2 hours. Usually it's somewhere in between. You sleep with your bunny and a paci and still promptly take out your paci as soon as we pick you up out of your crib. Your newer "thing" you do is drop your paci's down the side of your crib between the wall when you are laying in your crib and bored. You go to sleep very well. A few whimpers and you will usually lay down and go to sleep on your own. Once a month you will have an episode where you wake up in the middle of the night and will NOT go back to sleep. We usually end up staying up with you for about an hour and a half before you get sleepy enough again to go back to bed.
You love to play with your babies, blocks, your baby's stroller, anything that makes music or talks when you push the button, and of course books! We have now read to you 700 books in a little over a month. Once we hit 1,000 we'll have a huge announcement and then we won't write down every book you read before Kindergarten. It's been fun, but the library needs to inform us when they have a program called read 10,000 books before Kindergarten and then that will be a challenge for us:) You also still LOVE taking your baths. You have even started helping us get you undressed before we hop in the tub. You love to splash and play with your toys and you get especially loving afterwards when we wrap you up in your towel, giving us huge hugs and squealing with excitement.
P.s...I will explain the fairy dress Svea is dressed up in come a future post. It was painful at first for me to see my sweet and innocent little girl corrupted by sexist Disney brainwashing, but I have to admit she did look oh so cute and she loved it too.
