An Update

Sorry it's been so long since I've posted!  Svea and I ran out to ND (yes, again!) and Dan has been swamped like always.  Did I say I can't wait until we have another full-time pastor on staff?  I went to my cousin Jill's bridal/bachelorette shower in Bismarck/Mandan. Thank you to my Mom for coming along and watching Svea for me!!   Six of her eight bridesmaids put it on and can I just say how much I love my cousin Jill:)  She is like a sister to me!  After her shower we went out to Harmom lake (since there's no river this year:(  I was surprised that it was really nice.  It's new, man-made, and doesn't have any weeds yet so it was awesome! That night we took a party bus around to various bars.  Most of the girls with are going to Vegas in a few weeks too so it was fun to meet them.  Did I say I was going to Vegas...yep, hottest time of the year, but it's ok because I fully expect to be lying by the pool all day drinking "liquids" to quench my thirst:)

On a completely different note.....Dan has been helping out a family from Paynesville whose father died unexpectedly. He did an informal service for this man's family at Summitt brewery yesterday and Svea and I tagged along for the day so we could have some family time before.  I just wanted to say how impressed I am with Dan.  He meant so much to this family and it was nice to meet them and see how grateful they were to him for sharing in God's message and a comfort to them in this time.  It was the first funeral we had ever been to that had an open bar!  ha! It meant so much to this family that it makes it easier to share my husband.
